  5. Discount & Loyalty Coupon is subject to payment within due date.
  6. For Individual Members, Loyalty Coupons can be used for purchasing IIF publications other than Indian Foundry Directory and excluding renewal of membership.
  7. For Industry Members, Loyalty Coupons can be used for purchasing all IIF publications and also for availing services from CoEs but excluding renewal of membership.
  8. Technical services from Centres of Excellence are at subsidized rates.
  9. For Yogyata Vikas programmes, rates as fixed by IIF are payable to trainer.
  10. For Industry Members, GST input credit would be available for transactions with IIF.

Membership Categories

The membership of the Institute shall consist of Patrons, Fellow Members, Life Members, Industry Members, Individual Members, Associate Members and Student Members.

All classes of Membership, with exception of Patrons, Fellows and Associate Members shall pay subscription and entrance fees and be entitled to all rights and privileges, as laid or subsequently revised by the National Council of the Institute from time to time.

Associate Members shall pay fees as determined by the National council.

Membership admission is subject to prior approval of the Membership Committee as per procedure laid down by the National Council and shall be ratified in subsequent National Council meeting.

The Institute has the absolute right to accept or reject any request for membership of an eligible applicant without assigning any reason whatsoever. The decision of the Institute shall be final and binding.

PATRONS

The National Council of the Institute may from time to time decide to invite distinguished persons of Indian origin to become Patrons of the Institute, who have distinguished themselves by outstanding service to industry, particularly the Foundry Industry and are likely to contribute in substantial measures to the Institute.

LIFE MEMBERS

Life Member Category is removed from the Membership category except for those who are currently Life members.

INDUSTRY MEMBERS

An Industry or Corporate (Proprietorships, Partnership, Pvt. Ltd., Public Ltd.), Societies, Co-operative Societies, Trusts, engaged in the foundry or related industry shall be eligible as an “Industry Member". Each “Industry Member" shall pay Entrance Fee and Annual Subscription as per decision of the National Council duly ratified in a General Body Meeting. The rights of the Industry Member shall be exercised by the Partner/Proprietor/Director/Chief Executive Officer or employee not below the rank of a General Manager.

A technical/educational Institute engaged in teaching foundry engineering and/or technology and allied subject or any Institute engaged in research and development activity, shall be eligible to become an "Industry Member" and shall be liable to pay Subscription and Entrance Fee as applicable to an Industry Member. The right of such a technical/educational Institute shall be exercised by the Partner/Proprietor/Director/Chief Executive Officer/Principal or Head of Department of the Institute.

FELLOW MEMBERS

The National Council may invite a person who has been a Member of the Institute for not less than 15 years to become a Fellow Member in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the profession. In exceptional cases, the National Council may relax the minimum membership period of 15 years. A Fellow Member will not be required to pay any subscription till his life term.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS

Any person who is a retired executive, technician, employee connected to the industry, academician, individual consultant other than Proprietor, Director, Partner or CEO (or holding any similar position) who has completed 21 years of age at the time of application and has held for a period of not less than 2 years a position or responsibility in technical or executive or teaching capacity in the Foundry or related industry or a kindred Institute shall be eligible to become an “Individual member” of the Institute.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERS

Any company incorporated in India or elsewhere engaged in business related to Foundry or allied or related industry can take up Associate membership of the Institute by paying a fee that will be determined by the National Council from time to time. This category of member will have restricted rights and shall not receive the monthly Indian Foundry Journal or be eligible to vote or take any office in IIF but will get access to events conducted annually by IIF to share and receive technology up-gradation, new processes and products. An Associate Member can take up full membership in IIF at any time after experiencing the benefits of IIF after a year of membership. Continuation of this membership beyond the first year will be subject to National Council approval.

STUDENT MEMBERS

Any student above 18 years and not more than 23 years of age in any engineering/science subjects in a recognized school, college or Institute or a technical trainee in a foundry shall be eligible to become a Student Member. On completion of the course or attaining the age of 23 years whichever is earlier, he shall be required to apply to become a Member and would be called upon to pay such transfer fees and subscription as may pertain to the new class of membership.

Facility for posting in Forums under categories -Buy/Sell Used Equipment, Situations Vacant, Ask the Expert, Consultancy Required/Offered, Buyer Seller Platform in IIF Website www.indianfoundry.org are available free of cost to Industry Members. Industry Members are eligible for higher voting rights.
